About Us
Leah Peterson started Clear Creek Ranch Mom, in the midst of the 2019 Bomb Cyclone as it rolled across Nebraska. What began as a landing page where people could share help and resources for those affected, became a community of people engaged in supporting one another through the ups and downs of farm and ranch life. In the years since, CCRM has become a page where people can come to learn about modern agriculture, with doses of reality, nostalgia, and humor. Leah is a 5th generation farmer/rancher, married to Matt and parents to Maggie and Lucy. They are a part of a multigenerational family operation with her parents, and brother and his family. Cooksley’s Clear Creek Farms was homesteaded in 1878, and its Leah’s goal to help other farm and ranch families find strength and solidarity as we all work to ensure a successful future, together.
